Why Tolland?
Opening in Tolland achieves the founders’ long-time goal of expanding into eastern Connecticut. As a UConn graduate, Gibbs is familiar with the area and believes residents will be impressed by Budr’s “tasteful” addition to town.
“Budr is more than just a place to buy cannabis,” he says. “It’s a space where community, social equity, and education intertwine. We’re not just here to sell a product, but to help usher in a new understanding of cannabis and its potential.”
The founders vow to always sell products that align with customers’ needs and desires. They strive to provide an elevated retail experience that goes far beyond other cannabis dispensaries, treating each customer as an honored guest, with an experience tailored to fit one’s needs.
Budr is a diverse, socially conscious adult use retailer dedicated to engaging directly with the communities they serve. They only partner with people and vendors that share our values.
Budr in the Community
At Budr, our commitment to the Tolland area extends beyond our storefront. Our team lives and spends time in neighboring towns such as Andover, Bolton, Bolton Notch, Coventry, Hebron, Mansfield, Somers, Stafford, and Willington, along with other towns in Tolland and Windham Counties, just to name a few. That gives us a genuine understanding of what matters most to the people we serve, and that perspective guides how we show up for our customers and how we support the broader community.
When you visit our store, you’re more than a customer—you’re a neighbor, and we’re dedicated to providing an experience that reflects that.
We also value meaningful collaboration with local businesses, organizations, and creators who share our passion for strengthening the communities around us. To explore the partners we work with in Tolland and across our other markets, visit our Budr Fam page.
And to stay informed about promotions, events, and ongoing community partnerships, we encourage you to sign up for our Loyalty Program.
Live further away? We also serve towns outside this footprint, including Colchester, East Granby, Putnam, Willimantic, and more.
