Why Yonkers?
As Budr opens its first New York location in Yonkers, it marks a major step in its mission to serve communities through cannabis. The dispensary offers more than just a place to purchase adult-use products—it’s a hub where education, social equity, and responsible cannabis use come together.
Co-founder Carl Tirella Jr. is originally from Yonkers, so giving back to this community is especially important to him. “Our goal is to cultivate an environment where curiosity is welcomed, knowledge is shared, and the power of cannabis to foster connection and wellness is celebrated. It’s about raising the bar for our community and contributing to a better society.”
Budr takes pride in elevating the cannabis retail experience through ethical practices, local engagement, and customer education. Every interaction is designed to ensure guests feel valued, informed, and supported in their cannabis journey. The company’s dedication to social equity and ethical business shines through in its partnerships and hiring practices, making Budr a trusted presence in the community.
Budr continues its responsible expansion into New York with plans for future locations, aiming to foster wellness, connection, and a deeper understanding of cannabis.
Budr in the Community
At Budr, our commitment to the Yonkers area extends beyond our storefront. Our team lives and spends time in neighboring towns such as Ardsley, Brewster, Bronx, Dobbs Ferry, Elmsford, Greenburgh, Hastings-on-Hudson, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, New York City, Ossining, Peekskill, Rye, Tarrytown, and White Plains, along with other towns in Westchester and Bronx Counties, just to name a few. This gives us a genuine understanding of what matters most to the people we serve, and that perspective guides how we show up for our customers and how we support the broader community.
When you visit our store, you’re more than a customer—you’re a neighbor, and we’re dedicated to providing an experience that reflects that.
We also value meaningful collaboration with local businesses, organizations, and creators who share our passion for strengthening the communities around us. To explore the partners we work with in Yonkers and across our other markets, visit our Budr Fam page.
And to stay informed about promotions, events, and ongoing community partnerships, we encourage you to sign up for our Loyalty Program.
Live further away? We also serve towns outside this footprint, including Cortland Manor, Forest Hills, Nyack, Pawling, Pound Ridge, Scarsdale, and more.
